Kimi was in the top 10 for every stage in the rally, which is very consistent performance. Apparently once the road went to tarmac, he was extremely competitive. Maybe he will do well in the all-tarmac rallies.
He is driving ahead of some far more experienced drivers. It is pretty good to be honest.

He will crash more, but tarmac races might give him chance to be 4-6th again, and with LOTS of luck maybe even 3rd.

I meant that he would have finished around 8th if the others didn't crash
