I was reading a book this morning and it had a picture of Ayrton with a large radio control plane. It said it was his second hobby after F1. I thought it was interesting to learn something new about him (having only become a regular follower of F1 just as his career was ended).

Almost 16 years without Ayrton...
His first race was in karting when he was eight. He said: "I was only eight and most of the other guys were 15, 18 and even 20. Grid positions were determined by luck. They wrote the position numbers in some pieces of paper into a helmet. As I was the last to come in, I was the first to take a paper randomly. I picked the number 1".
