Can anyone beat Sébastien Loeb?
Mikko Hirvonen ran him close this year, but Séb prevailed by the slender margin of one point! Can he be beaten in 2010?

Aha, I messed up my post.
But unless Jari-Matti Latvala finds some consistency or Petter Solberg gets a works drive, Hirvonen has to be the main pretender again.

Latvala, Hirvonen and Sholberg did well last year.
They are the top guys.
I bet at they wont let our Kimi pass, (even he is a F1 hero) no way.
Kimi hast to work his way on his own.
This year Kimi had Tommi Mäkinen's Kaj Linström as his map reader,
they did well together.
50% of a good Rally goes to map reader, he just says "KIRRAA". He he
Kimi need's a good map reader, they need to be like identical brother's
to make a good team.
Hoping at Kimi get's a good map reader and they can sync together perfectly. That takes a time.
So I'm not expecting Kimi to be RWDC yet, give him some time.
Urku auki Kimi. (Eng. Go flat out Kimi).
Dear dear midgrid.
You know everything in Rally as well.

MissFinn, remember our 1st rally outing...Artic Lapland Rally
Is Kimi joining again? When is it?
I recall they gave him a bell or something at the end of the rally for participating
& he was as pleased as punch.

Oh Lynn,
Lapland Rally still gives me shiver's, it was freezing cold out there.
I really dont know, will keep my eye for it.
Let just Kimi to go to his mamas home cooked Christmas dinner first,
he need's a time out as well.
I can look at road cameras in Helsinki, they may just got first snow in there.
Una momento...

Fresh new Snow has melted again.
This is somewhere near by where Kimi is having his Mamas home cooked Christmas dinner.

Probably Hirvonen. This year was pretty close, but it didn't seem like that after the first 6 races... anything can happen in rallying!

Re: Can anyone beat Sébastien Loeb?
I suppose another eventuality would be if Séb switched to circuit racing full-time. His F1 chance may be over, but he could compete in the Le Mans Series, and there have been rumours about Citroen entering the DTM with him as one of their drivers.

Re: Can anyone beat Sébastien Loeb?
Hirvonen is close to Seb but loses out on tarmac rallies, no one else is anywhere near those two.
Sordo is good but struggles on gravel, JML is far too inconsistent at present and Petter is probably past his best, no win in over 4 years.
As for Kimi, he would need a couple of full WRC seasons to learn the stages and how to drive with notes and then we could judge if he has what it takes to compete at or near the top.

I think Loeb's main arch nemesis is himself.

Re: Can anyone beat Sébastien Loeb?
Maybe Mikko Hirvonen will. He came really close to beating Sebastien Loeb, but Loeb has shown what a World Rally Champion is all about. Rest assured, Hirvonen may snatch a WRC title in the coming years.

All you need for that techniqualy is for Loeb to crash out and theoreticaly Kimi got the better of him,if he finishes.
