Peter Lenz dies at Indianapolis... age 13

Post by Sivakis on Tue 31 Aug 2010, 13:39

I'm mortified and very saddened by this news that I heard yesterday....

Peter Lenz, 13, died at Indianapolis in an installation race (MD250) before the MotoGP race. He fell during his warmup lap and was hit by another rider, 12 yr old Xavier Zayat.

Lenz, racing since 2005, has won numerous championship titles despite his young age (4 Internationals (Can-Am), 5 Nationals, 9 Regionals, 1 Provincial across 135 race wins) and got his 'expert' license at age 11. Many in the industry had their eyes on him as the next Rossi. Sadly, this will never be...

My condolences to his family and friends and may his courage, skill, determination and memory live on...

Rest in peace little one Crying or Very sad
