Re: BTCC - British Touring Car Championship
I don't have digital TV so I couldn't watch this year's TV coverage; I'm looking forward to the DVD release!
It was an incredible three-way championship fight this year. I was glad that Colin Turkington won it, as I've been a fan of WSR since they started running MGs back in 2001.
Hopefully Johnny Herbert can do a full season in 2010 as well.

Matt Hamilton should do a full season in 2010 - he's a kind of friend of mine.

Re: BTCC - British Touring Car Championship
I think Turkington is a fine driver and will do well... but any of this years top four or five could win the championship
depending of course on what they are driving!!
Personally I always route for Plato just because he has racing in his blood and takes no prisoners...

I love Turk, he's an amazing driver.
I used to be a HUGE fan of Tom Chilton; but when I got an autograph from him, he just ignored me... what a douche.

He's going to the Porsche Supercup next year, isn't he? If he plays his cards right he could end up driving for Porsche at Le Mans.

Re: BTCC - British Touring Car Championship
Indeed he is going to Porsche Supercup for 2010 ^^
I love him like a brother, and I'm proper pleased that he's finally doing his career justice + climbing up the motorsport ladder. If you followed British F3 in 2005 or knew what was going on then you'll know why I praise him for how he's turning up the heat dial on his career cooker.
I know this sounds so selfish of me; but I'm going to miss My Big Bruv, I won't have anyone to hang around with or be able to shelter in their tent/garage at BTCC meetings now!

Re: BTCC - British Touring Car Championship
Yah, I had been watching BTCC until 2007, then the stupid MotorsTV guys decided not to air it anymore
Used to be a huge Matt Neal fan, and I remember I hated VXR racing
I found that it was maybe the most exciting series, compared to the other touring cars (DTM and WTCC).
I also heard that Fabritio Giovanardi will not drive in BTCC next year... real shame
Now with new satellite thing, I hope I will find a channel next year, where to follow the races... UK people, is there any suggestion???

Re: BTCC - British Touring Car Championship
I guess the main broadcaster for the next year will be ITV4 again, which isn't a satellite channel. You can always buy the season review DVDs though, which are very long (and spread across two discs in recent years!).

I don't like the ITV4 coverage. I much prefer when it was on MotorsTV.
