F1 2011

Post by ENGLAND on Mon Feb 21, 2011 6:35 pm

it will be released Q3 or Q4 2011, in F1 2011, what improvements should there be.
i think they should add safety car
at the end of the season some drivers change team to make it more realistic cos not EVERY driver will stay the same team for 7 years.
martin brundle to give you an interview on track before race Laughing
engine failures, i havn't seen anyone get one yet on 2010
better info on how other drivers are doing during the race like it only tells you who is 1st and who is around you...

All those are great ideas, but, we will probably never see drivers changing teams, for legal reasons.

I would personally love the safety car. Also they need to fix the bugs already there. Once I went for a pitstop and my crew was facing the wrong way. (game crashed). Laughing

Yeh, my pitlane bug was particuarly annoying, I did a 100% race at Barcelona in career mode, where I am so slow at. I did my best and was in 12th position or so, in the Lotus (expert mode), I went for my final pitstop, and bam! Pit crew was facing the wrong way! The whole pitlane is automated, so I couldn't do anything. The game was still running but nothing was happening. Grrrrrr.

Not that long away now, and wow a year goes fast.

Almost at rank 50 now as well on F12010.

Why could it work in football games then?

I don't know why it is OK in football games, but in F1 teams like McLaren would never let an image of Lewis Hamilton in Ferrari overalls, and without Tag Heuer watch etc.

I guess Bernie doesn't own football.

Ah, first day purchase for me then. (maybe)

Hopefully the game isn't as buggy as the last one.

Edit: Red flag might be a bad idea.

Monstar, what do you think about the F1 2010 physics versus the Formula cars in Gran Turismo.

The F1 2010 cars feels so nice, but then I watch the replay and they look all wrong - like an F1 car just doesn't look like that when it corners.

Then I play the Formula cars in Gran Turismo, and they feel pretty horrible. Quite hard to drive at first, until you modify your driving style. But you watch the replay, and they look spot on - just like a real F1 car would handle.

IMO. Cool

red flags better not be common, i hope you can turn off red flag and still leave yellow flags and blue flags on so that drivers like kobayashi and schumahcer will move out the way, cant wait to use the kers and drs tho

F1 2010. The cars are nice but not perfect. But still nice to drive when you find the limit. The tuning option is shit as in the way the cars react when tuning. GT5 has a good tune set up but was great in GT3.
I dont like the feel of the F1 in GT5. Quite horrible to drive actually. I hate them so much that i havnt done the F1 championship and wont do it.
All the replays in GT5 look stunning. No other way to describe it. PD have done a fantastic job on that. But they seem to be sped up. Cause when your driving it dosnt feel that fast so watching the replay makes you look better imo.

GT1, The cars were great to drive, I loved how the slid into and around corners but that was PS1 days lol.

I have seen some game play and it seems easier to catch a slide, it usually just snapped when ever you lost it, almost all the time...there was never really a little bit of over steer. Also they have completely re done the suspension mode,l whcih should mean we can now attack the curbs Smile

Yeh, the snap and inevitable crash was problematic in F1 2010. I was always very proud whenever I caught one of those snaps. Laughing

So between Singapore, Malaysia, Japan and Korea, where would be the cheapest place to buy genuine PS3 games? F1 2011 comes out when I am overseas.

When i was in Thailand a few years ago i looked at getting some but they worked out to be pretty much exactly the same price. They reckon its because they cant be copied. When i went to the USA a few months ago i found them to be about the $50-$65 mark. So get them from there if you can. I was surprised too but as you will quickly learn when in the USA, everything is cheaper.

Anyway about that snap in F1 2010, When i got my G27 i found that catching them was alot easier than using the DS3. Almost impossible to catch with the DS3 and i dont think i have not brought back a snap since using the G27.

Yeh, but I tend to over-correct the snap, and launch into the opposite wall instead. Laughing

Anyway, F1 2011 will probably be more of the same, but I feel obligated to buy it anyway.

Yeah, like it or not, I'll still be getting it when it arrives on 23 sep. Probably 80% similar to 2010 but with the chance to hit the india track before the actual race, why wouldn't you? Smile

As soon as it snaps, jump on the breaks and it will correct it self back into a straight line Wink

Yep, that works most of the time, but apparently you cant do that on the new game.
