Nope, I love F2 because its probably the best [or one of the best] junior formulae to compete in. Tbh he best up-and-coming talent in F2 2009 was Henry Surtees; he was such an extremely great young kid and up until his life was taken away in that unfortunate freak accident, he was probably favourite for Rookie of the Year.

I can't help it if I happen to find this year's champion to be very attractive, can I Zonk? Wink

I followed the series from a distance last year, as I never believed the hype about it becoming the feeder series to F1.

To me it's a poor man's version of F3 or a beefed up FPA, however some of the racing has looked entertaining so I might well catch the first round next season at Silverstone.

yea +1, it is miles away from what i concider to be the main feeder series, GP2.

I only saw 2 races..one was at Brans, which was the race where Henry Surtees died Sad

and the other one was a race at Imola much later in the season

Imola was immense. mrgreen
Kazim Vasiliauskas won his first race there. Very Happy Very Happy

But Andy Soucek = stand out driver, absolutely first class!

I was watching the race #2 from Brands live on TV, and its one I won't forget.
RIP Henry Surtees; I'll never forget you; I miss you. Sad

I wish they would broadcast F2 in the US... we get GP2 so I don't understand why they think F2 isn't as important as that!

yeah they're the same. We get the same commentators for a lot of racing series... just for the American series there are more American commentators in addition to the English guy we get for F1.

Haha, I notice that Ajith Kumar is listed as last in the times. He was a big movie star in the south and then quit movies and started racing.

I'm looking forward to see how Arman Ebrahim does. I think he is a talented guy and much better than Karun Chandok who has made it to F1 based of his close relations with Bernie rather than talent.
