2012 Williams-Renault Livery

Post by Mach on Sun Sep 18, 2011 1:28 am

Yes.

We will hear Williams-Renault once again ring in our ears. I still remember 1997 when Walker exclaims “Jacques Villeneuve wins for Williams-Renault”

It was awesome to be Canadian way back then.

Why would you want the 97 livery? The earlier Camel/Canon livery was much better.

I have to go with the '97 livery. Maybe they can use the ? on the side since they are short on sponsors.

But then they'll cop what Renault did with the cigarette livery stuff.

Well, that didn't stop Lotus Renault. Laughing

Of course, it will be a big let down if they do only because they're so slow. But it would be cool to see. Sort of like the black and gold on Petrov/Senna's car. Smile But that's all it is, just to see if they would do it. Laughing

This year livery is actually very good, if they can refine it abit to be even more retro it would be perfect

I dont want a cigarette livery..... I would prefer a Williams livery.....

Who wants to give free subliminal advertsing to the murderous bloodsucking bastards of the tobacco companies?

Everyone loves the JPS livery - it was cigarette paquet , black and gold. Sad but true.

The 92 livery was good but the FW14 just looked perfect in 1991 even if it did just explode most of the time!

I love those old liveries from assassins tobacco companies advertising like Marlboro, JPS, Rothmans, Gold Leaf, ... in fact they did a lot for our loved sport in the past and in the end its just only an educational issue with young people: nobody forces you to smoke. It's not much better actual direct advertising of real bloodsuckers companies like Banks, Alcohol or phoning,...

I would like to see them in a livery of a sponsor that gives them enough money to build a decent car. Don't care how it looks like.

If they get enough money for that from a sponsor, then for sure that would not be "decent" bussiness... Rolling Eyes

I like how Williams liveries have always sort of progressed, without any huge leaps in designs (excl. 98, 99). I'd imagine they'd keep their darker blue anyway.

I agree.....Williams always looked better in very dark blue....light blue means Renault, Benetton to a certain extent, BRM.....etc....etc...etc

I like 90s livery of Williams, weather it's 92 or 97, except the red livery they had in late 90s. It would be sad, though, to see Williams in the old livery not delivering the same kind of speed they used to be capable of producing.
