They should make it every year on different continents. They have plenty of space in Europe, America, Asia & Australia.

Peterhansel could be up front with almost anything, including Mitshubishi...

Sainz takes over the overall lead after Peterhansel loses a lot of time due to some sort of mechanical failure. It will be pretty damn hard for him to climb back up front unless something happens to the leading 3 VWs.

Well the hummer did not do so well yesterday. Robby Gordon got stuck in sand Thursday and is 1 hour, 48 minutes behind the leader in 6th overall.

Why would they run a RWD and not AWD?

I would think a Dakar car is VERY different from a stock model.

true, but what would be the point in using an RWD car, when the stock is AWD and even heavily modified 4WD's get stuck?

Different rules, different weight etc etc...

btw robby gordon slammed Carlos Sainz´s car yesterday, damaging it a little bit. "el matador" was not very happy.

today Al attiya is coming back, I hope he comes to less than 2 mins so we have a great run tomorrow (I want Sainz to win, but I want great show even more)

Maybe Robby Gordon just likes a really loose drifting car.

Carlos Sainz and Cyril Despres win the 2010 Dakar.

Hail to the winners, although I do not like Despres at all.

Great victory for "El Matador", congratulations. Carlos Sainz proved again he's one of the biggest drivers in rally/raids.

2 WRC titles ( and could have been easily without that pertinent bad luck 2 or 3 more) and 1 Dakar title (that could have been also 2, as last year he had really bad luck, as usual) Laughing
