Evgeny Novikov.... do I need to say more?

As a Russian I was thrilled to see a Russian driver participate in WRC but instead of seeing him race I see him crash time after time after time after time. Maybe I am not looking at it from the right direction but every time 2009 rally airs on discovery hd theater I hear blah blah Loeb and blah blah Latvala and blah blah camera pans to Novikov and at that time you know that something is about to happen and it does. Is it me or have he crashed on every rally stage in every rally in 2009? Why is he still driving? No really why is he still driving? I can only assume that every time he crashes a car it costs a team thousands of dollars and countless sleepless nights.

I would like to cheer for him but in all seriousness this is getting silly at this point. He is younger than me by 7 years and is a promising driver but he is not ready to race in WRC quite yet I don't think. Now before some of you say that he is less experienced and young etc etc... I fully understand... I really do... but I would rather see my Russian comrade drive dead last and 10 minutes after everyone else but at least finishing each stage that he started in one piece.

Actually, he is not driving next season for that precise reason. He is out of cash and out of cars.
