FORMULA 1 SINGAPORE AIRLINES SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX

FP2 and Maldonado is the first to stuff it into the wall.

Lotus were saying that Singapore would be a better track for them. Car still looks like a dog unfortunately.

Ferrari looking good for a change. Would love to see Alonso take a win this season.

If it has to be a Ferrari win, I'd rather like to see Kimi winning. He's had a really tough season for whatever reason(s).

Not likely. Kimi's winning days are over, unfortunately.

Pretty exciting qualifying!

Poor Kimi, could have beaten Alonso today. But that's just how his season has gone.

Lewis pole lap with all 4 wheels off the track. I guess 00521 will call me on more "venomous hate" towards
Lewis .....

There are only 2 wheels visible in that photo.

Also, the regulations state that

20.2 Drivers must use the track at all times. For the avoidance of doubt the white lines defining the track edges are considered to be part of the track but the kerbs are not.
A driver will be judged to have left the track if no part of the car remains in contact with the track.

So your claim would be incorrect.

I know the rule and the photo is inconclusive. It's not a claim. A claim is 00521 calling Rosberg a cheat after Spa. That's the jest of my post - sorry you missed it.

Very surprised to see how tight it is at the top. Should be an awesome race. If they get it right, 4 teams could be in with a chance!

It seems that not only were you mistaken about the content of the rule, as evidenced by the photo you posted, but also about what the word "claim" means. What you did fits the definition of the word perfectly.

Rest assured, if Lewis had actually left the track before or after the moment that is shown on that screenshot, while gaining a lasting advantage, competing teams would have made sure to protest the official results.

Pretty great, isn't it?

The circuit looks just unreal from the heli cams. What a fantastic venue for a night race. Really makes me want to go there one day. They have some crazy laws over there however...

Once again - you are missing my "mocking" 00521 making claims on false pretenses (just like I did here) .

Doesn't really matter if it's 4 or 2 wheels. Stewards were told not to be as stringent with their calls. So ALL the drivers should help themselves to all 4 tyres off the track as well as Lewis did.

I was there a couple of months back. There are some weird laws, but they don't get in the way. The only thing that would keep me from going back would be the humidity Laughing

Hahaha is that a joke???

I'm looking forward to the race, but I don't like the first two corners. The option to cut across the chicane is too easy, and I wish they'd either change the corner somehow, perhaps make it a double left or something.

Just a mock up from me:

That's not really fair for the others, if Alonso braked normally he would be forced wide and be like 8th now.

Alonso gets away with everything. What else is new?

Meanwhile, Vergne gets a 5-second penalty for exceeding track limits and gaining an advantage.

Alonso missed out on his projected podium despite his BS move.
