It's nicer than Marussia's livery actually.

Looks like the testing Toyota livery, which was actually Toyota's nicest.

You are both right actually. Didn't see it at first, but I see the similarities. Just a more orange shade of red.

Looks nicer from the top!

So guys, which is the most attractive car on the grid for you? (livery and design considered)

For me, I still like Williams overall, but Toro Rosso's car is really sleek.

Probably Ferrari. It looks good this year. Overall the liveries have been pretty disappointing this year. It's hard for me to think, that for some of the cars, someone looked at the designs and said "yes, this is the best we can do".

Already a change in the livery for Mercedes.

It was blockier before and looks infinitely better with the sweeping black part now. Incredible what a small change can do. Looks fantastic.

So McLaren have gone from this:

To this!

It's nice, although it certainly isn't perfect. It gives off HRT vibes and the red nose bits don't align and not sure why there is a second red bit there. However, overall, I'm glad they've moved into new territory and are starting to form a somewhat new identity. I'm a little disheartened that Ron thinks that day-glow red is their identity though. That is definitely a Vodafone thing. Also don't like the faux-3D shiny effect on black outline of the red bits. Disliked that on the previous livery too.

I'm also a little unhappy they didn't keep the sparkles!

Thought that was the most unique and interesting part of the previous livery and perhaps would have made the car look really good with it all over.

Now that I think of it, I'm liking this car a lot less than I initially thought I did. It's having the opposite effect of the old livery... which I was starting to like it a little...

I understand wanting away from silver, but you are perfectly right, that black NEEDS sparkles! Otherwise I get the feeling of a B- maybe even C-class team's car.

OK, once again, at first glance it looks really nice. Then when I analyse it, it goes downhill. Grey is a tough colour to master. Hispania did an awful job, Sauber did it better. I feel this needs to be black or almost black. With sparkles. The number is feels wrong too.

That looks more metallic than sparkly to me. Or maybe it just isn't as strong on the grey.

One of the Mclaren guys said they kept the dark grey on it and surround the red with it to emphasize the color technology they have on the grey. They have this new paint technology since back in 2010.

Anyway, I remember Ron Dennis saying that the rocket red is something he has thought previously to incorporate with the Mclaren brand (their logo now) since a decade ago as evident on the red bits on Hakkinen's car in the past. Not vodafone.

It doesn't matter what he thinks, if people associate it with Vodafone, then it means Vodafone! Brilliant for Vodafone, just as the Marlboro link still lingers for Ferrari.

Very late on this, but Manor finally got a new sponsor:

Also, check out Force India's new nose!

Reminds me of something...

If anyone cares, I started a little blog on motorsport liveries. Not trying to get famous, I just like looking at pretty colours Laughing

EDIT: Just updated it with a bit on the new Manor livery!
