Hamilton's Mercedes Contract...

Post by 00521 on Mon Jan 26, 2015 8:30 pm

Well,

Here we are just mere weeks away from the season opener and Mercedes has incredibly let Lewis Hamilton twist in the wind after he won the WDC.

Seems like there are not even any formal Mercedes sponsored events scheduled for Hamilton to be WDC at.

I don't think we have ever seen a reigning WDC go this close to the new season w/o a contract.

Looks pretty disrespectful.

Looks like, the Rosberg side of the team controls the corporate paycheck, after all Nico got his contract EONS ago and even Alonso is now long signed by McLaren.

Guess its obvious that somebody at the Mercedes C level would love to push Hamilton out and let Nico attempt to become 2015s "Finnish-German-Monegasque" WDC, after all Mercedes has so many years invested in Nico, from the 2nd Schumi era, on.

Now, the question... what happens if the season starts and Hamilton has STILL not gotten a contract yet?

Will the temporary absence of an extant formal contract begin to affect his psychology?

Will this failure to sign their star #1 properly embarrass Mercedes brass?

I think Mercedes has left the contract open in 2016 because Dan the Man will replace Hamo! LOL.

After the reigning world champion said he hopes the deal is "done" this weekend in Malaysia, El Mundo Deportivo said Hamilton has indeed now signed up for the 2016, 2017 and 2018 seasons.

"The official announcement is expected shortly," said correspondent Raymond Blancafort.
