Very unusual to see Raikkönen involved in a collision.

Good day at the race. Got there early and got a good seat at turns 9 & 10.

Afraid to say the race wasn't terribly exciting, most of the excitement came during the formation laps LOL.

15 starters is absolutely crazy.

Great work today from Nasr, as well as Sainz, who was faster than his much hyped teammate.

Hamilton too good. I hope Rosberg and Raikkonen can challenge their respective teammates.

Yawn. F1 looks like utter crap. Merc 1-2 and seemingly just out for a video shoot. I think the highlight of the weekend was Vettel giving Nico a sarcastic jab about saying he'd like the competition to be closer ....

Well lets see. Mercedes will win every single race this season. I gotta watch other racing series to get excitement. Redbull are sore losers "Im going to quit because Mercedes is too fast Sad "

It wasn't the best race ever, a few trends which are a bit worrying:

- Mercedes dominance
- Cards struggling to follow
- The tyres. One stop may be the norm from here, which virtually guarantees a less eventful race, less strategy choices. Bad news for any potential fights up front but obviously in general.

Early days...  as always, there will be some drama(s) to come.....

The mystery to me is why McLaren wasted millions on Alonso (and Button for that matter), when
a couple of youngsters could have done the job in the first year with a new engine manufacturer..
The chances of it being on the pace in the first year was slim to none...

I'm surprised that the Mercedes customer cars aren't closer to Mercedes at this point, considering the fact that what they cited as Mercedes main advantage last season should be pretty much gone this year. So for now I'll assume they should find ways to catch up relatively quickly.

Ferrari was rumoured to start with a very conservative engine, so they should make up more ground, as well.

Renault actually seems to have taken a few steps backwards, which is surprising.

I have no opinion on Honda. They seemed extremely happy to have one car finish an entire race. Lowered expectations, I guess.

Mercedes did a great and impresive job.

Also big performances from Nasr and Sainz (a pity the big team error)

All the rest was a SH*T. Now I know I will never pay a cent for spanish TV to see this ridiculous show and of course uninstalled the F1 APP from my mobile...

Something that confused me, when they let Raikkonen go and the mechanic was waving his hand in the air, why didn't they stop him immediately in the pits? They knew the tire wasn't on properly. Could have rolled him back, fixed the wheel and scored points.

Incredible sour grapes from Red Bull. Threatening to quit. Good riddance if they do lol.

The best thing was their proposed solution: Essentially limiting the speed of the other cars to their own!  LolRoll

What they're saying is: Our engine partner has screwed up, so the FIA has to act to slow down the other engine manufacturers to the point where RedBull can win with their (alleged) chassis advantage again. Yeah, right. That's how it's going to go down!

I guess arrogance that has been cultivated for so long and humble pie don't go together very well...

Without having read anything about it...I'd guess it was either miscommunication (the mechanic signalled it, but it was ignored/misunderstood), or you couldn't really do anything about it anyway, so they thought they'd give it a go to see if it works out somehow...

I'm not really a fan of Wolff by any stretch, but this made me laugh:

"There is this wall in Jerusalem that you can stand in front and complain, maybe the guys should go there."

Ferrari on the other hand:

But even Ferrari, having taken a big step forward over the winter, is no longer pushing for big rule changes.
"Our job is to attack Mercedes on the track," said boss Maurizio Arrivabene, "not to change the rules."

That's right! A Ferrari team without Montezemolo and Alonso? I guess "classy" is back, I like it!

Massa being hilarious again:

"If we don't have the same engine - which I cannot say 100% because it's very difficult to say - but if we don't have it then we want to have it because it's not nice that we don't have it."
