So half the field is made up of former F1 drivers, and for the first time, even a former F1 champion!

I'm really looking forward to the new season which starts this weekend, and so this is my sneaky attempt to put a thread into a place that people (including myself) actually still check out regularly on the English forum!  Wink

Let me know who else is watching!

There was no official way to watch this down under so I waited until today and found a replay on YouTube. I'm a little disappointed by how little the cars have improved. They are still quite slow and every driver seemed to be lift-and-coast on every corner, which meant pedestrian passes and generally not much balls to the wall racing.

Still a lot of room for improvement. Would rather be watching A1GP to be honest!

It still reminds me of pensioners racing their mobility scooters along Worthing
seafront, with the obligatory toilet break after half an hour...

I am left wondering if all the drivers go off for a game of Bingo after the event...

I watch on youtube as well! I think it's the British broadcast, pretty good!

The cars only changed on the inside this season, and FE doesn't have F1 budgets. So the changes will be gradual.

Stupid decision to add additional laps while keeping the battery the same - which means more lift-and-coast. Don't know who comes up with such a stupid idea, probably some commercial interests behind that.

Had to get used to FE again after such a long break, but by the midpoint of the race, I was into it again. I'm rooting for Heidfeld, especially the last laps were pretty exciting for me! Glad he's on another team now as last season's team kept finding ways to mess up most of his races in various ways.

Boy, that Villeneuve dude didn't last long:

The Venturi Formula E team has replaced 1997 Formula 1 champion Jacques Villeneuve with Mike Conway ahead of next month's Buenos Aires round.

Venturi confirmed the Canadian's exit on Twitter, citing a "disagreement over the future direction of the team".

Somehow, I'm not surprised. Seems like he's been bad for a long, long time.

Speaking of bad, the FIA really killed FE with their idiotic adjustments. Turning races that were already limited by available energy into races where you have to lift-and-coast for THE ENTIRE RACE makes you question just how stupid the guys responsible for the show really are. It's like they only see the money, don't give a shit about the product, and then get shocked when the money dries up as nobody watches any more. This had so much potential...
