FORMULA 1 - GRAN PREMIO DE ESPAÑA 2016

Post by F1 forever on Fri May 13, 2016 8:01 pm

Formula Farce continues...

After examining the failure Mercedes has redesigned the components in the hope of overcoming those issues, but because the upgrade is focused on reliability over performance it has not cost the manufacturer any engine tokens. The new parts were fitted ahead of first practice after the team said it made a "superhuman effort" to get the components ready for the Spanish Grand Prix.

It moves Hamilton onto his fourth MGU-H and fourth turbo of the season, meaning he has just one left of each component before incurring grid penalties.

I don't even wanna know what they're going to come up with next for Lewis. BTW, the reason for the "mysterious" defects has NOT been found.

Do people really believe that any team, especially a top ranking team, would do anything to hinder their results? With so much money and prestige involved, let alone the reaction of multi million dollar sponsors. To mean it is not an acceptable risk any would take.

No... just hoping his run of 'bad luck' is over...

But do some people really believe that things don't go on behind the scenes in both F1 and Moto GP.........

IDK anymore Zag, too be honest. I guess you can if the gap is big enough to the rivals that you can afford to alter or sabotage parts. Sounds too crazy

No, nor do I.....    I don't really believe Mercedes would do anything to sabotage either of their drivers but
I guess it only takes one rogue mech...

Mercedes have enough of a gap to their rivals (and probably a little more if needed..) but they also want 1/2 finishes...

I still think it is just bad luck....... but only just! Smile

What the heck Ferrari? Remember their "could have had pole" / "just 1 tenth off Mercedes pace" claims from earlier races? To be worlds behind in Barcelona is shocking.

Vettel was even slower in qualy than he was in Free Practice. Good thing Marchionne is coming again. Ferrari looks like a team that needs more pressure more than anything. /sarcasm

At least Prost was genuine WDC material and it was at the season finale... the real deal.

On the other hand, Rosberg is so immature psychologically, he's underhanded to an extreme, thin skinned, and unlike his father KeKe, very talent limited. Even Schumi would NEVER have done that at the VERY beginning of a race.

What kind of immense stupidity???

To make the DOUBLE move, DOUBLE... thereby deliberately closing the door, pushing his teammate onto the grass at the second turn? He could have easily collected the entire field and at such a very fast part of the track.

That could have really become a nasty accident. Complete disregard for safety of the entire grid.

Give him a 2 race personal ban + 250K Euro fine. Such harsh punishment will serve to remind everyone that Alonso almost died at the start of the season. Today's cars are too fast for such deliberate hijinks.

Its a shame to say that, but if that is the case, then he has really become blind.

Cordial Best,

Big mistake of Lauda speaking too soon, for a man in his position he should have waited after the meeting with the drivers.
