FORMULA 1 - GROSSER PREIS VON DEUTSCHLAND 2016

Message par Jarnooo le Dim Juil 31, 2016 12:13 pm

I'm going into the GP with the lowest expectations for a long time. I hope it's exciting cause I'm not as pumped for it as I usually am!

Oh dear, Nico has forgotten what the steering wheel is for again.....
Perhaps now they can talk on the radio again one of the mechanics
could keep saying ''turn Nico, turn..''

what a joke of a penalty, charlie whiting is a moron who has received orders to protect the stars hamilton and the golden boy verstappen and make them look good

where is whiting whenever hamilton decides to drive someone wide and off the track, he is probably masturbating to it tbh

Couldn't really watch F1 this weekend, completely missed qualy and could only watch a replay of the race - and that was without commentary, just the sound. I thought that would be bad, but boy was I wrong!

Wow, that was the purest racing I've ever watched. You only hear the sound of the engines, you hear the cheers from the crowd, the team radio is crystal-clear, and you hear so many things you usually don't hear... it's like being there, and yet it feels almost like an intimate setting! Fantastic!  cheers I'll definitely do that again! Best F1 watching experience I've ever had! AMAZING!!!

Interesting... I could only read about what happened Friday and Saturday, and at least the German press made it sound like Nico had this one in the bag! Very Happy

Funny how his only "overtaking move" against capable cars is running them off the track. The stewards should have penalized him earlier... they only encouraged him to pull this BS at every opportunity with their non-penalties.

He's now been at least deserving of penalties for the last 4 consecutive races... impressive run, there Nico!

The "Lewis is F1's worst starter"-narrative seems to be taking a beating lately! Laughing

Err... what a headline!

Nico Rosberg surprised 'awesome' move on Max Verstappen penalised

Nico thinks running drivers off the track is awesome... I doubt his superiors think continuously violating the rules of the sport is such an awesome look. At least he didn't get away with it this time, which is refreshing. I thought he deserved 10 secs, being the repeat offender he is, and I was glad the stopwatch at least made up for some of that difference!

So Lewis has made up 63 PTS over the course of 7 races, despite the terrible Baku unfolding.

With a double engine-penalty likely to come at the next race in Spa, the furthest he's going to fall behind in the standings by starting last there would be 6 points.

Still tough to see him having to pay twice for the curious lack of reliability on his engine. Without that nonsense, he'd be leading the WDC by miles now.

Does anyone know the penalty for 3 reprimands?

LOL @ Nico

Despite Rosberg protesting and telling Mercedes he applied full steering lock, onboard replays showed this was not the case until after Verstappen was running out of space.

Rolling Eyes

I wonder what Zetsche thinks of that BS.

its interesting that f1 has developed 'nico only' rules because they are desperate to get lewis the title

like the team radio rules that were enforced for nico and then relaxed immediately after they tried to penalise it again for some consistency

nico got an advantage in qualifying yellow flags and immediately a new rule is applied for the future (new rule not applied when similar situations happened in the past)

now this new standard of running a driver wide is enforced on nico despite it happening normally in f1 racing history, next time it happens it will probably be deemed too harsh and relaxed again

Interesting. Wolff, Lauda and Horner actually agree that Rosberg's penalty is ok. That's pretty unusual. Not sure I've ever seen that in a scenario like this! But I guess this one is just too obvious even for a spinmeister like Wolff.

Verstappen's swerve-while-braking is way more dangerous, but who expects consistent penalties from FIA?

It's not really a contest of "which maneuver is potentially more dangerous", though.

I'd say the stewards have been consistent lately. Not just in punishing both Rosberg and Vettel for forcing other cars off the track in the way they did, but also in not punishing Max for his moves. Was anyone else punished this season for doing the same thing Max did? If there was a clear-cut violation in Max's case, I'm sure competing teams would protest. And obviously they had talked about that in the drivers' meeting, too, and yet, still no penalty, despite Rosberg's lobbying - not even an investigation at this race iirc.

So Ricciardo was voted "DOTR" this time. I don't know about that. He had good pace at times, but he was also passed by his teammate at the start and only passed him with a team order later on.

No Mercedes driver has been voted DOTR this season so far. I guess people think they're already winning enough, or that anyone can do that in a Mercedes! Wink

Not for Verstappen anyway apparently...Unbelievable he wasn't penalised last week and although this week wasn't so drastic, he seems to be getting away with it too easily. Won't learn until someone is barrels into his rear wing and flies over him.
