Abu Dhabi Grand Prix

Post by RaySinKa on Fri Nov 25, 2016 5:51 pm

At a loose end I had this playing as I did some house cleaning.

Not a lot of interest except;

Vettel lost his gearbox, careless of him I thought Smile

Track limits still don't seem to matter.

Tyres seemed to be taking a pounding.

Lots of ex F1 drivers in evidence.

IMO too bad it's Abu Dhabi and not Brazil, Australia or Japan where the season and their careers end. At least Felipe had his moment two weeks ago, but Jenson won't have a similar and well deserved farewell moment

Congrats Nico oh it feels good of him winning it. Now the icing on the cake would be if he puts the 1 on his car next year. Please Nico do this

For all you Rosberg haters saying he will never win a championship go suck a dick clown

Loved Toto's reply to EJ's question about Lewis not obeying a team instruction and following Christian Horner's plan to back the field up;

"Perhaps he should go and drive for them!"

Love it!

In my view the tactic was OK to back the field up. However what was not OK was to use it on your teammate.
I mean, if Rosberg would have driven a Ferrari/Red Bull he would just have pitted earlier and undercut Hamilton. But since they are driving for the same team the first driver on track always get preferred treatment of pit stops (well not always, but most of the time Smile).
Therefore I think this was another low point in Hamiltons career.

Well, I'm glad this season is over and hoping for more teams competing at the top next year.

Great race! A very fast game of chess. Nico's crazy dive on Verstappen won him the championship! Thoroughly enjoyed it. Can't wait for next season!
