Mercedes and Ferrari putting on the miles  Cool

Expect Mercedes to run a couple race distances today with both their drivers present   :ugeek:

Sensor issue caused Daniel Ricciardo to stop on track  Shocked
Oil system issues stops Fernando Alonso on track  Shocked

Mercedes seem bullet proof from the onset again so they will tune to performance on long runs like they did the last 2 years. Then come Melbourne lights out

What a disappointment Redbull and Mclaren have been so far. These are two of the three teams we need to do better to avoid another year of dominance

WOW.... Mercedes is perfect right out of the box again this year. Looks like another boring season with Mercedes winning over 90% of the races. Bottas with his shinny 1 year contract won't be making the same collision or near collision mistakes Nico did against LHx4WDC

Ferrari looks closer than have been in a long time. I'm really hoping they can mix it up with the Mercs this year.

Looked like Ferrari and Mercedes were on pace straight away. Hopefully RBR and Renault show true pace this week.

Hopefully McLaren-Honda figure out their oil pan issue and be on pace by end this weeks testing.

Poor Alonso - I feel so bad for him

Honda F1 engine has no power, no reliability - Fernando Alonso

When asked whether he was able to take Barcelona's Turn 3 flat out, Alonso also made a joke about the lack of performance.
"Oh yeah, for us, not only Turn 3," he smiled. "For us nearly all the corners are flat."

Honda really have made a mess of this power unit. Shame for McLaren, they won't finish 2 laps at Melbourne at this rate! I dislike Alonso's recent comments directed at Honda - quite unprofessional. That said, you could imagine how frustrating it is for him, especially when you feel as though you 'deserve' success. lol.

Honda actual power is below the others in 50 CV, mainly because they have a problem with the valves cooling. It is their bad, so they must accept critics from Alonso, McLaren, the fans, etc...

It is absolutely unacceptable in their 3rd year and I agree McLaren is considering to change to another PU suppier...

Sergio Marchionne said the following recently.....
"We had two goals for the Barcelona tests.
Firstly, to be competitive with Red Bull Racing.
And secondly, to have a reliable car.
For me, Mercedes is still ahead."

I think Alonso should be allowed to voice his opinion. He's just stating the obvious. No harm in that

I doubt AF was jumping up and down with clenched fists followed by throwing his toys out of the tram. I'm sure several people expect him to be frustrated.....and not too surprised by his behaviour. McLaren/Honda sucks
