The Slides, Saves and Spills of Goodwood Revival 2017

Post by jakebarrell on Mon Sep 11, 2017 3:26 pm

If one wants to spend a weekend amongst classic cars that are being driven to their absolute limits, Goodwood Revival is the place to be. Specific to classic cars between 1948 and 1966, Goodwood Revival is the third event in the Goodwood Road And Racing Calendar, and the most intense one when it comes to classic cars trading paint on the asphalt. It is here, where in an instant, one is teleported back to the mid-twentieth century where everyone is appropriately dressed in period-correct attire bringing their best metal to fend off the competition. And as expected, where there’s racing, there’s going to be a few hairy moments. This here is a list of all such events from Goodwood Revival 2017, and yes, it also includes the infamous No.64 Ferrari 250 GTO smashing the wall.

Ferrari 250 SWB slides off into the grass

AC Cobra Crash

Andrew Hibberd’s 1961 Elva 300 spins out

Jaguar E-type spins thrice before getting back in control

Old racing cars just are cool!

4 time Spa Master: Kimi Matias Räikkönen; because he just is that good!

- Kimi was a completely unique F1-driver, different character, brilliant driver and the most fair opponent I have ever known
   Fernando Alonso, before 2012

"It felt better than sex!", Lewis Hamilton after his first GP win.
"Maybe he has never tried sex?", Kimi Räikkönen's comment on that.
