Kimi, Where Next?

Post by RaySinKa on Wed Jul 04, 2018 7:30 pm

So if rumours are trues and Kimi will be redundant at the end of the season, what next?

Well I don't understand why, except having a young driver in the second seat will be an investment for the future it seems to me that Kimi is a great fit at Ferrari.

He still produces results, he is compliant and I'm sure he will fall in line to support Vettel when the time occurs but until then he is adding points to the Constructor's Table.

But if he does leave where to?

I would love to see him at Williams. That are behind in development and I'm certain Kimi would be an asset with that. If they started to move forward I think he would love the challenges.

Or will he go back to WRC or Formula E?

Thoughts?

Ray,

I would hope that he goes to WEC LeMans prototype like Alonso...  ;-)

A major team could then put his proven incredible talent to good use.

Remember his 2011 WEC test?

Kimi may just sit down, letting young upcoming drivers to take it over..  He's time is to enjoy his life with family,  on a cosy cabin in Finland next to a lake..  I bet he's dreaming to heat the Sauna, jump to lake for a swim, BBQ on a sunset,

Well, McLaren needs someone who can also help develop the car, not just drive it fabulously. That is the one area where Kimi has always been ahead of Fernando.

As to why Ferrari should switch him with LeClerk? No reason whatsoever! But F1 is what it is.
